not-fun: this is pretty solid :O i’m eye-walking the scifi end right now. new books NEW BOOKS OMNOMNOM  i take issue with refering to “The Stand” as a book about a pandemic, though. “The Stand” is unabashedly about the fucking rapture, and King doesn’t even attempt to hide it. i mean the villian IS THE DEVIL. he forms a SIN CITY IN VEGAS. the good guys have to save themselves from him or be tempted into joining him, and in the end THE HAND OF GOD REACHES DOWN AND RESCUES EVERYONE. that’s not a pandemic at all, that’s a poorly concieved version of Rapture. M-O-O-N, that spells god this book is fucking dreadful everyone is written identically and nobody is described and nobody is entertaining and it’s just Here Is My Author Hero Protaganist Based On Myself Again like every other fucking King book in existance.  king KING >:(((((((( A REAL PANDEMIC BOOK IS WORLD WAR Z. OR POSSIBLY ANDROMEDA STRAIN IF YOU LIKE THINGS A LITTLE MORE FACTUAL AND LESS ZOMBIFIED. So many good books. My reading list has half of these. My amazon wishlist has the other half.
